Lauren Ridley

Lauren is ecstatic to be expanding Blue Moon Outdoor Adventures from Fort Lauderdale to Key West as Blue Moon Kayak Key West. She started kayaking with her grandmother in South Carolina over 20 years ago to learn how to white water and tour through the clam beds of the Eastern Coasts. Her first job was selling high end kayaks in Alexandria, Virginia with Atlantic Kayak and quickly became an instructor and lead guide there as well. Lauren moved to South Florida in 2010 to pursue her Master’s in Sports Administration and Education at the University of Miami. She also began working for Blue Moon Outdoor Center out of North Miami. In 2019 she bought out the previous owner and now runs the Fort Lauderdale location. With over 16 years of kayak instruction and tour guiding she will share her passion with you through the waters of Key West and more.

Emily Craig

Northern Virginia native, Emily grew up swimming competitively, lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons. She frequented lakes, rivers and creeks of Virginia and West Virginia, canoeing and kayaking any chance she could. She met Lauren in high school and bonded over a shared love of kayaking and water sports (ask them about their experience on a crew team together!) Emily targeted colleges near the water and ended up spending many hours fishing, swimming and trying to surf while at school at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. Her career took her into Recruiting and Human Resources in Washington, DC, but after six years, she decided to join Lauren in Florida. Living full time in Key West, Emily is excited to share her love of the water with locals and visitors as co-owner of Blue Moon Kayak Key West.
